The group is currently seeking gardens maintained by community-minded plant lovers who are ready and willing to share the fruits of their hard labor with the public. Small secret spaces, rock gardens and herb plots, opulent perennial landscapes, Monet inspired water gardens and enticing vegetable victory gardens are all welcome to be part of the tour.

The Garden Tour will start at the Hoopes Park Clubhouse with light refreshments and the distribution of the directional maps. A fundraiser for ABC, tickets will be $10 pre-tour or $12 “at the door”. Pre-sale tickets will be available after June 12 at the BID office, 128 Genesee Street or Downtown Books & Coffee.

If you are enthusiastic about showing off your garden on July 1, please contact one of the Garden Tour committee members; Susan Marteney, Sally Price, Sue Talbot or Nicole Hulik for more information.

Interiors of homes will not be included.

Auburn is History’s Hometown, and nothing says it better than a “welcome to our city” sign that we can be proud of.

Check out our progress on Facebook this spring.
